About Akilesh.

I’m Akilesh Jayakumar, an AI engineer and builder based in Singapore. At GovTech Singapore, I work as a Manager in the AI Ecosystem team, helping public officers and teams adopt artificial intelligence thoughtfully and turn promising ideas into useful services. My work sits between technology, product thinking, community building, and the practical details that help new tools earn trust.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Wollongong on 26 May 2026. I enjoy learning in public, prototyping with language and multimodal models, and exploring how good interfaces can make advanced technology feel understandable. Before my current role, I worked on AI engineering across several Singapore public agencies, with experience spanning AI safety and governance, chatbots, deployment, research, evaluations, workflows, and automation.

This portfolio is a maintained record of selected work, independent projects, writing, hackathons, meetups, and experiments. It is useful when you need to understand what I have built, the kinds of problems I enjoy, or whether my experience fits a collaboration, speaking opportunity, community initiative, or product conversation. Project links point to demos or original posts where those are available; work history is presented as a concise overview rather than a full résumé.
