How this portfolio handles local preferences, Playground prompts, network data, and third-party services.

## Information handled by this site

This is a personal portfolio and does not offer user accounts. The interface stores limited preferences in your browser: the selected accent and theme can use local storage, while the active portfolio tab can use session storage. These values stay in your browser unless your browser synchronises them. The site’s server and hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent, and diagnostic logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate failures.

The Playground only sends content when you choose to submit it. Text prompts, conversation context, selected model details, and image prompts are sent through server-side AI services to generate a response. When a prompt requests current web information, the server may send a search query to Exa and then provide relevant results to the selected model. Requests are subject to short-lived rate limiting and security checks. Do not submit confidential, personal, regulated, or security-sensitive information.

## Third parties and your choices

AI generation may involve Vercel AI Gateway and the selected model provider, including Google or xAI. Web search may involve Exa. Project previews and outbound links can load or open services such as LinkedIn, X, YouTube, GitHub, and project-hosting sites; those services apply their own privacy terms. Email sent to the published address is handled by the sender’s and recipient’s email providers. This site does not use the Playground as a place to publish your submissions.

You can avoid Playground processing by not submitting a prompt, avoid third-party previews by not opening them, clear local or session storage through your browser, and contact me at akilesh.work@icloud.com with a privacy question about this site.
